Javier Solana In his first words he praises the figure of his predecessor José Pedro Pérez-Llorca and the effort and commitment of all the employees of the Prado Museum.

The Minister of Culture and Sports, José Guirao, underlines the institutional profile and the long and fruitful trajectory of public service of the new President.

The Board approves the 2018 accounts, which for the second consecutive year closed with a positive result: 1.77 million euros.

The institution received 15 million euros from the State on a spending budget of 45.02 million, which raises the degree of self-financing to 65.9%.

The Board considers that the Prado laid the foundations in 2018 for the Bicentennial is proving to be a resounding success.
